Liverpool and Real Madrid entered the battle to determine the Champions League crown in Paris, thereby closing the 2021-22 season of European football.

"The 14th journey in Paris", Real Madrid conveyed the message when arriving in the French capital to attend the Champions League final.

Real Madrid will enter its 17th final in Europe's most prestigious football tournament.  In the previous 16 games, they have 13 championships.

Liverpool vs Real Madrid recreates the 2018 final
Particularly in the Champions League era (since 1992), the Royal Spanish team always wins every time it enters the final.

The last time Real Madrid played in the final was four years ago, beating Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool in Kiev.  That victory was called "Decimotercera" (13th Champions League/C1 Cup title).

"Los Merengues" is dreaming of the 14th achievement in history, after the spectacular upstream displays on the journey to get the ticket to Paris.

For Carlo Ancelotti, whose rebuilding Real Madrid was impressive as the squad went through the cycle of success under Zinedine Zidane's lack of investment, he entered his fifth final as coach.  This is a record.

If Real Madrid overcomes Liverpool again, Ancelotti will write a new page in history with four Champions League titles.  He currently has 3 crowns (2 with Milan, 1 with Madrid), Bob Paisley (Liverpool) and Zidane.

The Italian strategist almost has the best team in his hands.  David Alaba is recovering with a positive signal, ready for a great fight.

A match is certainly not simple for Ancelotti and Real Madrid, when Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are in very good form and spirit.

After losing in the Premier League, Liverpool are even more determined to win the Champions League.  If successful, The Kop will have a historic season with 3 titles, after the League Cup and FA Cup.

Klopp did not mind letting Liverpool attack, as Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara both recovered.  The German military leader wants to equalize the record in the 11th confrontation with Ancelotii (before that, he won 3, lost 4).

Many Liverpool members today have not forgotten the defeat to Real Madrid in 2018, especially Mohamed Salah.  The Kop is full of revenge.
