Liverpool marked their 10th time in the Champions League/Champions League final.  Four years ago, they lost to Real Madrid on that fateful night in the capital of Ukraine.  Mohamed Salah and many members who finished second in 2018 are still in the current squad.

The European Cup will be a comforting gift for Jurgen Klopp's teachers and students after losing the painful Premier League title.

On the other side of the front line, Real Madrid has gone through an unbelievable journey to reach the final.  They came upstream when they were two goals ahead of PSG in the round of 16, knocking Chelsea out in the quarter-finals after being 3-0 down at the Bernabeu.  Receiving 4 goals at Etihad, Real Madrid overthrew Man City according to an utopian scenario in the semi-finals.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti, with a confident demeanor, brought Los Blancos to Paris with the goal of the 14th Champions League trophy in history.  This is the time when the Spanish representative's Champions League DNA shows up in the most important match of the season, against a more comprehensive and better-performing opponent, Liverpool.
