La Liga

Financial difficulties still surround Valencia. Remember last season, they used to accept to sell any player as long as the team bought and paid a valid price. The 2021/22 season is probably no exception. So far, they have only brought in a handful of players on loan or on a free transfer.

Anyway, Los Che is still lucky that he hasn't fallen into a bloody scene like last season (or now no one is attractive to other teams). Valencia's current squad is extremely youthful with 17 players aged 23 or under.

In the first match of La Liga 2021/22, Valencia is playing at home and welcoming a mid-sized opponent Getafe. The performance of the "bats" at the Mestalla nest last season was quite good: 31 points after 19 rounds. But the last 3 times to welcome Getafe at home, Valencia had to share points.

On the other side of the front line, Getafe had a turbulent 2020/21 season when only ranked 15th overall and 4 points above the relegation group. It's a disappointing achievement for a team that the previous season also competed in the European arena. Therefore, the club based in the suburbs of Madrid is very determined to improve its image in the new season.
