PremierLeague: Manchester City vs Tottenham

Manchester City march to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Spurs in the opening round of the English Premier League. The Citizens have invested heavily in the transfer market this past summer, now is the time to prove they work and there is no better proof than 3 points at the moment.

Tottenham vs Manchester City

Last season, Tottenham started poorly, but that was to be expected, as coach Jose Mourinho ended his reign at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the magnificent Olimpico. Things gradually went into orbit after that, and the London team lost only 1 more game since the end of March, thereby winning tickets to the Europa Conference League.

Even the home team Tottenham Hotspur is close to the Europa League position when ranked 7th. However, the record against Manchester City is a disappointment. Spurs have won just 2 games in their last 7 encounters, and that string of lousy matches isn't enough to make anyone confident in placing a bet on the home team in the Premier League opening game.

Manchester City won the Premier League in a way that couldn't be more convincing than in the final rounds of last season. They eliminated Manchester City to win the number one position in the rankings, and this result became the driving force to push the team up. The Etihad Stadium team seems to be on the right track with Pep Guardiola as the leader. More clever signings this summer continue to make The Citizens a counterweight to Liverpool or Chelsea in the race to the title.

The guests closed the 2020-21 season in impressive form, winning 4 of the last 6 matches. After finishing last season with 3/4 away wins, Manchester City can soon win 3 points when playing away from home. The Citizens' rookies like Jack Grealish or Scott Carson are very determined to dedicate the team to the most comprehensive way, and the pieces for the squad of the blue half of Manchester City will certainly help a lot for captain Fernandinho .
