PremierLeague: Man United vs Leeds United

Manchester United start the new season at Old Trafford to aim for more stable and better results in this year's Premier League season. Meanwhile, Leeds were successfully finished with top 10 last season but there will be no more room for mistakes.

Man United vs Leeds United

A steady performance in the second leg of the last season has helped Manchester United get to 2nd place in the Premier League table with a direct place in the group stage of the Champions League this season. Including friendly matches, the Old Trafford team has gone through the last 6/7 matches without losing, including 3 victories over Wolves, Derby County and Everton respectively.

Although Manchester United didn't start the summer very well, losing to Queens Park Rangers, things are more stable now. However, there is still a problem here when it is easy to see that the Vitesse defense is not really sure. They have only had 1 clean sheet match since returning to focus. In the remaining 3 matches, coach Ole Solskjaer's army must receive up to 7 goals, which is an average of more than 2 goals per game.

Leeds finished last season with a record of ranked 9th. This is a result that is considered to be temporarily acceptable for a team that often has to compete fiercely to stay relegated. Coach Marcelo Bielsa's squad has not changed much compared to the English Premier League last season, when this team prioritized the use of young players as well as some experienced veterans.

This is a double-edged sword for them. Meeting Manchester United in the first match of the new season is not so easy, especially when Leeds still have to be a guest. In the past, these two teams had quite a different history of confrontation in favor of the home team. Specifically, in the last 4 encounters, the Elland Road home team could not win even 1 victory when only got 1 draw and had to receive 3 defeats.
