PremierLeague: Southampton vs Fulham FC

Fulham was officially relegated before the match against Southampton in round 36 of the Premier League. Thus, the upcoming march to St. Mary's holy place only has an honorable meaning for teachers and coaches Scott Parker. With a very bad performance, it is too difficult for this rookie to have an honor score when facing Southampton.

Southampton vs Fulham

Southampton – Premier League

Welcoming Crystal Palace at home last weekend, Southampton, despite conceding first, still had an emotional comeback to win 3-1 in the end. Victory over Crystal Palace ended Southampton's four-match winless streak. They have not had a clean sheet in the last 8 matches, but they have reason to be confident in their scoring form and especially the fact that Danny Ings has returned with 2 goals in the last match.

Southampton have scored in 7 of their last 9 matches. Since entering 2021, Southampton have only 4 wins and hope to find 3 points when welcoming Fulham. From the beginning of the season Southampton have only 7 wins in their 17 home matches. On the current Premier League table, Southampton is in 14th place after bringing back 40 points through 35 rounds. This is not a very good achievement, but it is acceptable for the army of coach Ralph Hasenhuttl, in the context of increasing competition in the Premier League.

Fulham – Premier League

Expected quite a lot before the Premier League this season starts, but with quite weak strength compared to competitors. It is quite unfortunate that Fulham has officially been relegated after only 1 season of returning to the most prestigious playground of English football. They go to this match without a win in the last 7 and have only won 1 point out of a possible 21. Fulham have conceded 2 or more goals in their last 5/7 matches and have failed to score in 4.

They also have not won in the last 3 away matches and look forward to this match in search of their first victory over Southampton after 4 meetings. The two sides drew 0-0 when they met last December and Fulham have only 3 wins in 17 away games this season. With the fighting spirit exhausted, it is really difficult to hope for an honorable victory for coach Scott Parker's team. Especially after witnessing the attack of the away team only opened 25 goals from the beginning of the season.
